Brake the Cycle Gravel 25 and 50 on September 16, 2023

We have seen first hand that clean water is the starting point for people to pull themselves out of poverty. 

Join Brake the Cycle on September 16, 2023 for the annual North Georgia Gravel Ride hosted by Danny Presten. This year's ride will focus on a loop through rolling terrain. Riders wanting to ride 25 miles will ride one loop, riders wanting to ride 50 miles will ride two loops. 

Brake the Cycle is a group of passionate cyclists that use our bicycles for good as we ride to raise money and awareness to provide clean water and bikes to those in poverty in Zambia. Over the past 11 years we’ve been able to make a significant improvement in Zambia and are on track to having access to clean water for everyone in the country by the end of 2025. Your ride leader, Danny Presten, has hand picked a favorite route winding through the beautiful foothills of North Georgia. Come join us for a morning of fun camaraderie while riding for a reason. You may be surprised to know that just $50 can provide clean water to one person for a lifetime. Join us!  

Ride registration includes sag stops along the way and a post-ride lunch. This year we’ve removed the minimum registration amount and are asking people to donate whatever they’d like. All the costs for the events are covered by Brake The Cycle so 100% of your donation goes to the people in need. This year we also have arranged a match from one of our sponsors so every dollar you give is doubled!
