We have seen first hand that clean water is the starting point for people to pull themselves out of poverty.
Join Brake the Cycle on October 1, 2022 for the inaugeral North Georgia Gravel Ride hosted by Danny Presten. Brake the Cycle is a group of passionate cyclists that use our bicycles for good as we ride to raise money and awareness to provide clean water and bikes to those in poverty in Zambia. After 11 years of hosting Aspen's 100k bike ride in the scenic Elk Mountains, we have decided to join the gravel wave and spread the love in Georgia. Danny has hand picked a favorite route complete with almost 5000 feet of climbing. Come join us for a morning of fun camaraderie while riding for a reason. You may be surprised to know that just $50 can provide clean water to one person for a lifetime. Join us!
Ride registration includes a Brake the Cycle cycling vest and post-ride lunch. The minimum donation or fundraising commitment is $50 with a goal of $250 per rider. Our event goal is $5,000.
